Adding a location to your Instagram post is a great way to connect with local customers and increase your visibility.  In this tutorial, I'll show you two methods for adding a location. The first is for when you're adding a new post natively on Instagram. The other is a way to add a location to something you've already posted.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you two methods for adding a location. The first is for when you’re adding a new post natively on Instagram. The other is a way to add a location to something you’ve already posted.

Why should you add a location to your Instagram post?

Adding your location to your posts allows you to show up in local feeds. This gives Instagram users a chance to see what’s happening around town, and connect with people and businesses in their same area.

If you have a business with a physical location, I highly recommend using location tags on your posts and encourage your customers to add posts that tag your location. It’s a great way to get in-front of new customers on Instagram, and build an authentic following.
